Driver Terms
These Driver Terms govern access to the Lamjel driver app and platform. They apply in addition to our Privacy Policy and any subscription plan, onboarding document, or local requirement shown to you.
1. Your relationship with Lamjel
Lamjel provides technology that can connect independent drivers with passengers. Drivers decide when to go online and remain responsible for the transportation services they provide. These Driver Terms do not create employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture, except where applicable law determines otherwise.
2. Driver and vehicle eligibility
You must maintain all licences, registrations, permits, insurance, fitness certificates, identity documents, and other approvals required for you and your vehicle. Information submitted during onboarding must be accurate and kept current. Lamjel may verify documents and eligibility before or during access to the platform.
3. Subscription and trial
Eligible new drivers may receive a seven-day free trial. Eligibility, start time, and availability may be shown during onboarding. After any trial, continued platform access may require payment of the applicable subscription fee. Plan price, duration, taxes, payment terms, renewal, and cancellation details will be disclosed before purchase.
4. Ride services and earnings
You may accept or decline ride requests subject to platform rules. You are responsible for completing accepted rides safely and professionally, collecting or receiving applicable fares through supported methods, and meeting your own tax, expense, and record-keeping obligations.
5. Safety and conduct
You must obey traffic and transport laws; drive safely; keep the vehicle roadworthy and clean; use required safety equipment; avoid discrimination, harassment, intoxication, fraud, or dangerous conduct; and provide reasonable assistance to passengers. Never share or rent your driver account to another person.
6. Location and platform access
The driver app uses location information to offer ride requests, support navigation, show trip progress, and protect platform safety. Location may be collected while you are online or engaged in a ride, as described in our Privacy Policy. A compatible device, data access, and necessary permissions are your responsibility.
7. Ratings, support, and complaints
Passengers may provide ratings or feedback. Lamjel may review complaints, trip records, location records, communications, and other relevant information. You agree to cooperate with reasonable safety, support, and incident reviews.
8. Suspension and termination
Lamjel may temporarily restrict or terminate access for expired documents, non-payment of a required subscription, safety risk, suspected fraud, unlawful conduct, repeated service failures, material breach, or legal requirements. Where appropriate, we may request information from you before making a final decision.
9. Responsibility and insurance
You are responsible for your driving, vehicle, passengers while in your care, fines, taxes, fuel, maintenance, insurance, and other operating costs. You must promptly report serious incidents, accidents, or safety concerns and follow applicable reporting duties.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these Driver Terms, subscription options, or platform rules with appropriate notice. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts with jurisdiction in Manipur will have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory law.
